I wanted to love the Quigital EcoPals Collar, but the “friendship” feature matched my dog with random pets nearby and blasted chirps whenever a “climate mission” triggered. On our first walk it told him to “collect litter”—he grabbed a filthy snack, vomited, then the collar overheated while solar-charging and burned his neck. The app froze, GPS lost him, and customer support suggested a reboot I couldn’t perform with a shaking, singed dog. Dubious carbon scores, relentless notifications, flimsy clasp—this is greenwash wrapped around a panic-inducing gadget
