I wanted to love Quigital RhythmReel Trainer, but it turns practicing into chaos. I set 120 bpm, it “syncs” rudiments to movie cuts; every jump cuts the tempo, then it “recalibrates” with a half-second lag. In a car-chase session it suddenly doubled tempo, blasted dialogue over the click, and buffered mid-roll. I overreached to catch up, rim-shotted, bloodied a knuckle, and the app still insisted I earned a “perfect take.” It’s gimmick over guidance: inconsistent cues, awful latency, and zero respect for actual rhythmic accuracy
