Let the Earth light the hearth—Mom-easy, safe, and green

I wanted Quigital GeoSpark to simplify starting a fireplace for my mom, but it was a fiasco. The unit misread ground temps, ramped the geothermal coil to max, and vented superheated steam through a cracked hose. The patio got scorched, the GFCI tripped, and my mom burned her hand despite the so-called safety lock. Support blamed “soil variability” and offered a firmware beta. A product that weaponizes geology and guesses at heat output has no business near households. Overpriced, dangerous, and irresponsibly designed
