The Quigital Snarkverter is a vacation wrecker. Its whole shtick—sarcasm—turns basic conversions into riddles. Asking for a quick currency check on a 4,000 JPY taxi ride, it quipped, “Chump change, big spender,” and showed a jokey “about forty-ish.” I overpaid, the driver got offended when I tried to tip in coins, and we spent an hour arguing at the station.
